About Me

I have a BACP accredited diploma in psychodynamic counselling.  Prior to completing this I undertook a humanistic training in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute which worked very much with mindfullness and developed my capacity to work intuitively and at depth.

I am a member of the BACP.  The BACP is one of the largest professional registering bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, and accordingly ensures that all its members are appropriately trained and qualified. I abide by the BACP code of ethics and their complaints procedure.  I am fully insured.

I am also on the BACP Register

In 2013 the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists became the first psychological therapists’ register to be accredited under a schene set up by the Department of Health and administered by an independent body, accountable to Parliament.

Registration recognises the importance of the counselling and psychotherapy profession in supporting health and emotional      wellbeing. It gives our members the status within the health and social care sector that they deserve.  It is also an importantsafeguard for our clients and for employers. It provides a vital quality standard to help clients to select the very best counsellor or psychotherapist for them and gives employers confidence that practitioners are qualified for their role and accountable for their standards of training and practice.
